15/03/2021: National Trust research.
For part of my research for UNIT X, I will be looking into the national trust as my dream commission would come from them. I am interested in what they do to protect and maintain the UKs wildlife so I am going to research their work.
First of all, I want to start with a brief overview of the national trust and explain what it stands for.
The national trust is a charity and membership organisation set up to preserve places of historical interest and natural beauty. Heritage properties belonging to the national trust can be located in England Wales and Northern Ireland with Scotland having its own separate trust organisation. The national trust owns the largest number of historical gardens and parks in Europe with 180 being registered.
After carrying out some research on the ways in which the trust protects British wildlife, I decided to visually breakdown my research. I created these mind maps to show how many of the different locations focus on particular species and what they do to help them. Below are some images of my mind maps.
